Network centric warfare has proven itself as one of the most important development military developments in recent years. It is now being introduced in more and more land- and air- equipments and systems. Underwater the lack of adequate communication has hampered a similar development. This paper deals with some of the problems one encounters when the concept of net centric warfare is being introduced to the world of under water systems. New systems that may make net centric warfare under water possible are described.
