Demokratisering og valg : OSSEs rolle i forbindelse med valgene i Bosnia og Herzegovina i 1996-1997

In the accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement (signed in December 1995), the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), was requested to put in place an election programme for Bosnia and Herzegovina. This report discusses OSCE's role as a supervising body for the preparation and conduct of the following elections: The Presidential, - and the Parliamentary elections for the country as a whole and for the Federation in September 1996, the municipal elections in September 1997 and the election for the National Assernbly of the Republika Srpska in November the same year.
