Total Defence

This division shall develop societal security and emergency preparedness and safety and security measures for the Armed Forces and civil society, including civil-military and cross-sectoral cooperation.

Through research-based knowledge, the division shall be a key contributor to the development of comprehensive defence and national societal security. As well as providing knowledge-based advice to national authorities and actors throughout the crisis spectrum both within and outside the defence sector. 

The division shall contribute to clarifying and utilising FFI’s competence in the area of societal security and emergency preparedness to the benefit of the defence sector and civil society.
